Bags made from upcycled banners by Vaho

With the new 5p charge on supermarket carrier bags in the UK, it might be time to shop for the perfect tote bag to cart those groceries around. Vaho are a small multidisciplinary design studio in Barcelona. They create handmade bags from upcycled banners which in their first life hang as advertisements on the street lamps around Barcelona and Madrid. Resuscitating this discarded material, they have developed a range of durable tote bags, messengers, card holders, folios, laptop cases and wallets that are all one-of-a-kind and designed for both men and women. In some of their designs they have also reused upcycled inner tubes and truck tyres making them highly resistant and waterproof. Vaho have 6 boutiques around Spain as well as an online store.
