Founded in 2013, Kitty Ferreira is the brainchild of Valerie Goode. Whilst working as a Senior Designer in China, her firsthand experience of the terrible air pollution became the catalyst for her new line of clothing. Manufactured in London, the Pomonion range is made from upcycled silk which is altered using herbal dyes of pomegranate and onion skins into on-trend colourways. Her interest in upcycling is inspired by the make do and mend philosophy of her Caribbean grandmother, Kitty Ferreira. Goode creates versatile silhouettes, suitable for desk-to-drinks in sizes 6-26. The Guardian’s environmental columnist Lucy Siegle said of her work, “Goode makes clothing for boardroom activists as opposed to penniless heroes climbing up cooling towers…”
