Burnt out lightbulb art installation by Charlotte Smith

Lightbulb Installation Charlotte Smith

Ephemeral Rays is an installation of burnt out lightbulbs by artist Charlotte Smith, for a Fine Art degree show at the University of Kent last year. The lightbulbs are designed to give the viewer a sense of the volume of space and light within the galvanising shop in Chatham Historic Dockyard. Dust particles on the lightbulbs become visible in the air through the rays of light and are a deliberate feature of the installation.
