Reupholstered vintage furniture by Galapagos Designs

thumbLaunched only in the last few weeks, Galapagos Designs is a new online store selling fabulous vintage furniture.  Their collection from the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s has been fabulously revamped for a 21st century audience, all handmade in the UK.

The brand upholds three key beliefs “that conserving natural resources is a good thing, that good design should be accessible at a fair price to everyone and that old can not only be as good as new, but can be even better than new.”

Their aim is make buying vintage online as easy as buying new so they keep a warehouse of their products already finished in a huge range of colours which change each season.  This means furniture is delivered in days rather than weeks.  This season they have worked with British textile designers Korla for their summer 2013 launch.
