When rainfall hits the streets of London (basically most of the time), crumpled and dejected umbrellas can be found on virtually every street corner. It’s time someone either made an umbrella that doesn’t break so easily – or found an innovative way to upcycle them. Thankfully, Recycling Zychal from Philadelphia are doing just that. They upcycle fabric salvaged from broken umbrellas into waterproof coats for dogs, cat nip toys and contemporary babushka hoods for women. There are plans for more products such as aprons, bibs and bow ties also on the horizon. Purchase on Etsy here!
