Reclaimed wood furniture by Hendzel + Hunt

Hendzel + Hunt is a design studio  in South London specialising in the manufacture and design of bespoke cabinets and furniture.  This month they have been selected as one of Kevin McCloud’s Green Heroes at Grand Designs Live. Their MADE IN PECKHAM range (Kirkwood chair above) is constructed from reclaimed and waste materials sourced from the streets and yards of SE15. They use traditional cabinetmakers jointing techniques without the use of metal fixings of any kind, upcycling rough materials into elegant  furniture. The Hinckley table (below) has legs made up of six pieces of wood interlocked in a unique formation then fixed with two large dowels to lock all in place. The top is made from discarded pallet.
