TRAID (Textile Recycling for Aid and International development) is a fantastic charity that collects unwanted clothes from the UK public for reuse and resale in their charity shops. As well as reducing waste and energy consumption by reusing textiles that would be otherwise thrown away, the funds they raise support projects fighting global poverty, exploitation and environmental degradation across the textile supply chain.
TRAIDremade upcycles these textiles into beautiful bespoke garments and accessories. Each piece is a one off and is sustainably remade by hand at their workshop in Brighton. Buy online or click here for a list of their retail shops across the UK. Photograph by Leah Band
