Skeleton upcycled lampshades by Donna Walker

By Antonia Edwards

These fabulous Skeleton Lampshades are by British design Donna Walker.  She strips back the fabric from existing lampshades to reveal the original craftsmanship of the wire frames.  Other unique pieces in her collection include include Irony.  An ironing board, predominantly seen as a feminine object has been made into a chair with a distinctly masculine aesthetic.  It’s also designed to be a chair you relax on, disassociating itself from the idea of domestic chores.
