Book store in a converted church

Books have often been considered sacred objects but with their possible extinction looming, a bookshop constructed inside a converted Dominican church does seem strangely appropriate.  Built in 2007, Merkz+Girod Architects won an architectural award for Boekhandel Selexyz Dominicanen which is situated in Maastricht, Netherlands.  A heavenly shopping experience to say the least…
