Crafting things from old books is always a controversial subject but you have to admit the concept behind Littlefly is pretty unique. Jeremy Mays is a jewellery designer and landscape architect who makes jewellery from cross-sections of old second hand books through a process of layered compression and lacquering. He sources volumes from all over the globe and each piece of jewellery takes inspiration from a quote within the book. Prices range from £100 – £1,500 and can be presented in the book from which they were cut. Above: The Cloister and the Hearth.
