Canopy of white umbrellas by Organelle Design

Canopy of white umbrellasAnother gem in Organelle Design’s portfolio is GO! Gallery – a collaborative project which involved creating a temporary gallery in a forgotten courtyard at the heart of Vancouver’s Chinatown. A sculptural umbrella canopy hung above the chosen site to create an area for lighting installations, video projections, performances and community events throughout the duration of the 2010 Winter Olympics. The idea was to transform a poorly lit and disused alley into a public space that would bring tourists and the community together.
