Derrière Paris boasts a wild interior filled with vintage details

Vintage details at Derriere Paris

Recently returning from holidays in France, I am keen to share Derrière Paris – a restaurant introduced to me by a friend. The name Derrière derives from its location, situated at the back of their sister bar and restaurant Andy Wahloo and 404 in the capital’s trendy Le Marais district.

It not only boasts fantastic food but a visual feast of an interior resembling an apartment filled with art and vintage decor. The result is a casual and intimate dining experience with talking points at every turn.

Upstairs you’ll find the pièce de résistance, a smoking room offering a random selection of artwork, vintage pieces, taxidermy, mismatched furniture, wonky shelving and clusters of entwined chandeliers that looks like they’ve been smashed up after a night of debauchery.stone sculpture in a Parisian courtyardBar interior at Derriere ParisDoorway at Derriere Paris
